The newly launched www.winesofhungary.com
will serve as the first point of reference for Hungarian wines to
many wine professionals and wine lovers.
It provides valuable information about Hungary's indigenous grapes
varieties, unique terroir and winemakers from garage to mass
production level, as well as many other aspects of Hungarian
wine.
Richard Nemes, Managing Director of the Hungarian Wine Marketing
Agency said that the addition of the English language website will
greatly aid the promotion of the national brand Wines of Hungary
created last year.
We already had the identity, and the visuals but our international
promotion activities were limited without the website, - he
said.
In the past two decades both vineyard management and oenology
have seen substantial modernization, and now the country is
producing wines that are not only technically sound but also
deliver great value. However, it is lesser known that Hungarian
winegrowers are now paying more attention to indigenous varieties
and many are focusing on expressing the terroir in their wines,
explains Nemes. "Winesofhungary.com is a valuable tool in
communicating Hungarian wine to the wider world."
